HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation with its long experience and expertise in the enterprise sector serves a lead institution in the management of Bio-energy Project. It assists to build capacity of charcoal enterprises in business planning and linking them with financial institutions to offer them finance to implement the business plans effectively. In Bio-energy Project, HELVETAS also assists all the value chain actors mainly the charcoal entrepreneurs, suppliers, ratailers and policy makers to come together for preparing and implementing sustainability and up-scaling plan, and to promote dialogue for policy reform needed for the promotion of the sub-sectors.

 

 

IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature supports concerned forest user groups in planning and harvesting of biomass in sustainable manner and include in their forest operation plans activities of biomass harvesting for sale, negotiation with charcoal producers, distribution and use of income from the sale of biomass and understanding the value-chain system.
